Zomg Inkheart!

So i was on the library website an a random link was Cornelia Funke's website so I went there and INKDEATH IS COMING OUT SOON (like around oct. 21st!!!) and i totally predicted the title! yaaayyyzzzz.

Not only that but I found pics from the upcoming inkheart movie. Complaints: Meggie is too fashy, Farid looks like a girl, Dustfinger doesn't have red hair and Elinor looks like a gyptsy. Here's the link.

http://www.corneliafunke.de/en/film/film-116.html

Dustfinger looks good though, even though he's not how he's described in the book and moe is perfect!

I didn't go to the retreat

Because I was sick today, dizzy when i stood up and I had a stomach ache and my throat was sore. :-p I finished To Kill A Mocking Bird, it wa better than i expected.

:-P I feel grahss

I feel sick. That's my excuse for not having posted for ever. Even though I only started feeling gross on like sunday. I've had a cold forever though (the beginning of time, I swear! Ever since that Norse guy was carving his shoe, I was standing behind him snuffling and coughing on him. Ever wondered how a shoe could take that long? It's because he kept on having to sanitize it because I was throwing my dirty kleenexes at it and coughing and sneezing on him. In the beginning of time there was no such thing as covering your mouth.). I'm going to have to tuff tomorrow out because we have the PreSAT/ACTish things, or maybe PIT (pretty important tests). So I'm not going to miss those.

The play is moving along unsmoothly (It's only day two) I have to play babysitter/mother hen to a bunch of sixth grade girls that just about make you want to giggle/scream, I haven't decided what. One of them doesn't even want to be in the play and wants to be home in bed, she hasn't quit just because she won't get her money back. One of them is really helpful and mature though (thank god at least one of them is sane) then theres a some-what-helpful but a bit distracted one, who i appreciate also. The rest play their violins (in the middle of writing the script) lie to me go to the bathroom without asking, throw cheerios at eachothers face without cleaning them up afterwords, litter and play tricks on eachother. I'm CONSTANTLY having to do a head count to make sure none of them ran away and died. The scary scary part is: there are only FIVE of them! I was supposed to have two more but they haven't shown up yet. Also, having only known them about 2 1/2 hours, I know all of their names and nicknames ect.

So I wrote the script by asking them what two lines they'd all like and preoducing our section of the script soley off of their input, with my lines worked it. It's okay but I'm scared of giving it to the play director, I feel like it's too long, not focused enough, not funny enough, or generally sucks.

I hate the veteran's interview project with all of my heart. I wish it was dead.

That is all. *Bow*

New Take On School 2

(Read New Take on School before this one, and while your at it I have another new post down there too)

Heres my new take on all of my B-day classes:

History (SS): Taught by the same cool teacher as LRT. There is nobody I know in it, so that's really annoying. I just sit there during socializing time writing in my notebook. D-:. But Social Studies ha always been my best subject since like 6th grade. I like it!

Gym: It's okay... I have some friends in it, it's not too bad but I hate the fitness testing. At least we get to go outside and get some fresh air a lot!!

Spanish: Umm, it's okay, we mostly just play games for extra credit. Everything is pretty easy and I have two of my friends in my class so that's okay.

LA: I don't have any of my friends in the class but there are some cool people. My teacher seems really cool luckily. I sit at a desk with a hole big enough for a pencil, all the way through! It's pretty awesome... And yes, I'm talking about the quality of a hole in my desk because theres not much else to talk about.

There we go. I'm done.

My New Take On School

Okay, so I wrote a school rant before school began, so here's a post-school rant.

Band: *Shrug* It's okay, I mean, i have some friends in it, my teacher isn't unreasonable, the music is okay and if it sucks then I can laugh about it with my stand-buddy (mira). Not much wrong with it.

Science: This is where I start losing faith in the human race. My science teacher is the picture of ineptitude where I thought she was just mean. It took us 30 minutes just to write the daily notes!! And the daily notes just say what we're going to do in class (why do we have to write that down??) and frankly, they don't help anybody, they seldom make sense and just about make we want to rip my own head off! Plus, the stupid room is designed so that you can't see like a sliver of sky. You look out into the courtyard so you'd think, yeah you'd be able to see the sky, but nooooo they cover the upper parts of the windows with a bunch of whitish crap so you have to lean low next to the window just to see it a bit of sky. It's like your in a freaking cage, It's really annoying!

Math: My teacher is awesome and actually makes math interesting, but it's really confusing sometimes. But it's okay, because a lot of other people think its confusing too. It also seems that the homework is so much easier than the actual lesson. I'ts weird.

LRT: I like it, we're learning about immigrants and stuff and my teacher is pretty cool, even if the rest of the class is a bit sub-par. The subject is actually intresting and there's minimal homework. It's definitely a sanctuary in the land of madness (I don't have art, so something has to substitute for it.)

I'll post more tomorrow about my B day classes, because i'm sure you're all soooo interested.

Since Life Needs A Little Less Suckiness

This post is devoted to the happy things in life! (because of popular demand) Okay, the happiest things that have ever happened. (These are simple things, it's not like life changing moments people. I've noticed that the most complex things are the most tiresome. And come on, none of us have enough sleep to deal with tiresome things.)

Okay, number one: This was like the best moment of my life. I felt really crappy all during 1-2A at school, which was science. And just to help things, we were watching a gross movie about plagues. Icky, right? Bad moment in the life of Elesar, verdad? Nope, cuz then I went to the nurse because I couldn't really stay at school like this. Then I went hope and piled my blankets on my bed, turned the lights on (it was still dark! We have to get up to early...) and listened to my audiobook while all of youz guys were slaving away at school!! Ha! That was my only sickday... and I like actually enjoyed it, because like a stomach cold is so much easier to handle in your bed, right?

Number two: How about taking a long bikeride to a park about a mile away in 89 degree weather, hanging around there with a friend and biking back to be so hot you jump in the pool with your clothes on? That's pretty nice.

Number three: Picnic time at the park in the summer with certain people that read my blog.

Number four: What isn't fun about playing-god to a bunch of characters that you created? You just sit here at the compy and make their life pretty miserable with like 100 taps of the keys. It really makes a person feel better. You just open all of the shades if it's day time or close all the shades if its nighttime, dim the light until it's almost gone, put on noise-cancelling headphones, play emo music, bring up your word file and commence the writing pwnage.

Number Five: Let's do some math (for the record, math is NOT a happy moment in the history of Ele. Except for maybe this year) f+s*ap+mr=hft. Where f=fritos, s=sandwich, ap=acrylic paint, mr= Maximum ride two audio books and hft= happy fun time!

Sept. 11

Let's all have a moment of silence, people. It's september 11th and we didn't get a moment in silence in school so let's have one now for all of the people that died. As an understatement, that was a sad and horrible day. D-:

Poem About School

I posted this on Phisoa's poem comments, but I'll posted again. Oh and this is for kwano because she told me to post more.

T'would rather die
Than school supplies, buy.
T'would rather suffer Natazi's wrath,
Than sit a lesson of math.
T'would rather be open with defiance,
Than be quiet in science.
T'would rather tear off my own limb,
Than run a mile in gym.
T'would rather have my head be hanging by a strand,
Than have a playing test in band.
T'would rather vanish,
Than go to spanish.
T'would rather poke out my eyes with a comb.
Than miss the bus going home!!!

AUGH! (Curl Right Up & Die)

This was it. This was the CRUDiest day where all you want to do is Curl Right Up and Die. It was Fcoefyob, according to the Slatish. Let's organize my day into sections:

Morning: You can never really understand the simple poetry of going back to sleep if you wake up in the morning and you're really tired until you are deprived of that privilege. That is the CRUDiest feeling ever. But it helps once you turn on all of the lights and splash your face with cold water. All that I had for breakfast was a peice of raison bread and yogurt. My FACS teacher would be angry. It took more time that I would have liked to pack my breakfast.

Bus: My new motto for this year is "everybody hates everybody else" because everybody was sitting in their own seat because they didn't want to share with anybody. So it ended up being me and two of my friends in the same seat with only ONE guy in the seat right next to us. Pah!

Homeroom: It was all good and fine, my teacher was pretty cool. I got my locker, and it hates me already, it doesn't like open very easily!

Band: That was all nice too, I have the most amount of friends in that class, but it's not a very talky class, sadly. We'll have to do a lot of practicing this year. Ick.

Science: My science teacher (and I'll be more civil than usual here) was a bit boring at least. We also had to do weird things that nobody understood and she didn't explain. She talked the whole time. It was boring. (like write weird numbers and letters inside parentheses after words.) But I have a cool lab group. I've heard some less than nice things about my teacher and I can beleive them. Did I mention she talked the whole time and it was really boring? I mostly zoned. The guy behind me wrote "BORING" on his graphing calculator. I quite agree. Did I mention she talked the whole time and it was boring?

Math: Freaking awesome, i usually don't like math but this was pretty dang cool. My math teacher was awesome. He'll like go on little tangents, like about his keyboard or somethin. My favorite class probably, which is really high praise coming from me because math is usually really boring.

Lunch: Umm they have cameras in the lunch room now. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU.

LRT: The teacher was really um an angry kind of guy but he wasn't too bad. We're learning about immigration, which is cool.

In conclusion. tomorrow I hope is really fun and isnt CRUDish. But I think I'll like 2nd semester better because I won't have gym and i'll have an elective.

Non scholae, sed vitae discimus!

The title of this post is a latin motto meaning along the lines of "(I) do not learn for school, but for life" So here are some wonderful latin phrases. I plan on decorating my planner and accordian folder with the latin versions. It would be cool if we all did! Heres some cool ones I found (on wikipedia, you just search latin phrases or whatever) on insights on the justice system, success, evil and education. They're pretty awesome.

palma non sine pulvere

"
no reward without effort"

respiciendum est iudicanti ne quid aut durius aut remissius constituatur quam causa deposcit nec enim aut severitatis aut clementiae gloria affectanda est
"the judge must see that no order be made or judgment given or sentence passed either more harshly or more mildly than the case requires; he must not seek renown, either as a severe or as a tender-hearted judge"

Sapere aude
"
Dare to be wise"

Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes
"
If you can read this you have too much education."

Sic semper tyrannis
"thus always to tyrants" (Attributed to Brutis after he stabbed Caesar)

stamus contra malum
"
We stand against evil"

supero omnia
"I surpass everything"

te audire no possum, musa sapienum fixa est in aura
"
I'm sorry, i can't hear you, i have a banana stuck in my ear""

tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito
"you should not give in to evils, but proceed ever more boldly against them"

Vox poluli
"
voice of the people"

And there's a bunch more! This is only like P-Z phrases. But yeah, that's how i'm going to personalize my school stuff.
