Yay so now it's summer...

Summer dance seems pretty cool so far, confusing and gruelling but that was just the first day.

Iran election was rigged. How did Mousavi lose in his home city? How was it a landslide when Mousavi had so many supporters? wth. Democracy doesn't COUNT WHEN IT'S RIGGED. the world really needs less dictators. Is ahmadinejad planning on rigging all the elections for the rest of his life? (i don't know the term limit in Iran).

Yeah, i actually posted on my blog. Wow. Just to rant about Iran...

My brother found a 50 dollar itunes gift card from LAST christmas so now he has the freedom to buy pretty much every cool song he sees. So let me share my new found awesome songs with the world!

And then theres the Raconteurs. for a while I thought that Jack White was only like a guitarist or something for them. I must have heard some pretty mediocre songs from them on the radio because I haven't searched them before I heard this on the radio today.

Anyway there's a ton more like "Ask Her For Adderall" by The Hold Steady but I can't even find a good video of it on youtube. Yeah... anyway. happy 2009 o.O

Inspiration?

It is winter break! infinite artistic freedom! Yay now I can live in my basement xD. Okay, I'm not exactly doing that but nothing is going to stop me from spending a few hours down there painting or whatnot. (or making christmas cards >.<) What I have discovered in this long process: green and red should have have been put together! Ickers, in my opinion.

WOOT. Emily showed me this awesome song. (here) It goes so well with my warlock story! It's so hard not to be writing while I listen to it, so I may actually try starting up the story again. gods know I have enough ideas. But seriously, the first stanza:

zomg so that's not so impressive just written down but it's amazingl Zehrara-ish-like. Haha in sixth grade Zehrara gave me nightmares, in the totally awesome way. Hm I miss my Underground stories, maybe i'll start writing them in all my B-day classes (which are useless...)

Augh! I just realized in the course of me writing the last paragraph that my B-days are useless! We don't really learn anything significant in LA, Spanish is only useful for the first 10 minutes of learning a concept and the rest is review, health is slacker and common sense and I could learn math better from a text book!!! aaaaah! don't make me go back! please!

Happy Winter Solstice! Longest night of the year :-D pretty epic if you ask me.

On a random note relating to nightmares and night, I had another dying dream last night. It wasn't like the ones where I always have some sort of bizarre funeral in the woods and only Amish people attend (wtf is with the amish people?? don't they have anything better to do than going to my funerals?) This time I was being chased up a volcano by a person with a mace and then they caught up to me at the open lip of the volcano. Given the choice of death my mace and death by falling into lava I chose lava. The fall was terrifying :-o (That showed those Amish people! my body disintegrated in the lava, no funeral for me! wahaha i am so clever -.-)

Oh, I investigated a claim said by a certain er that "LeFay" was a welsh sea goddess, and Slaetish is "copying" even though i didn't know that when i made Lafae up (and she's not a sea goddess). But here's what I came up with when I searched "LeFay Goddess" on google:

There were pages and pages on google only about Morgan le Fay
So I wanted to see if there was a Welsh Sea Goddess with a similar name... but...:

(Another rant about Inkheart, but I am deeply in love with that series! To see it butchered would make my soul weep. And they are going into Inkworld in the movie! In the first movie! They could do it so much more justice if they just kept them separate. Are they going to fight the adderhead?? read Cosimo back?? I haven't even seen Fenoglio in the trailer!! Are they just going to make Farid unimportant? Are they going to have the death exchange?? how much of inkspell will they drag in? Boo hiss, boo hiss.)

Anyways, everybody keep warm. Drink lots of liquids, it's very dry. Eight glasses a day...

So the Inkheart movie is coming out this month. I revisited some of the old trailers of it... and they make me want to cry. okay not really but elinor is a gypsy, meggie is a silvertongue already, capricorn has a comical line about duct tape and mo has a line where he yells "YOU'RE GOING BACK IN THAT BOOK" as he's being dragged off. D: all of those combine for a really bad movie, and that's just in the trailers. sighsighisighsigh

god of i have nothing to post here because everything is sort of boring. it's just homework etc. but the girl scout thing tomorrow night will be pretty epic.

FALL WENT SO FAST because i never got time to enjoy it. First it was too warm but there were some really pretty vibrant colored trees, but a lot of them hadn't even turned yet. Then I have no idea what the weather was even like for a period of time because i had the play. Then all of the leaves were brown and it got really cold really fast and snowed. now it's like winter. Maybe I should give up on fall. :( Late summer seems much more enjoyable.

IT WAS RIDICULOUS ALREADY.

Before I get to twilight, i must say I am rather distraught. I have spent an hour and a half every other day alternatively dazzling everybody with my spanish scyles and staring at this awesome poster depicting medieval life! We have spanish class in the 7th grade social studies room and i sat right by this awesome colorful poster with the social hierarchy and a bustling medieval on it. I loved that poster and now it has been replaced with a black and white confusing map of Salem Village and a freaking list of everybody who was arrested and how the died in the Witch Trials. It's so sad! It really gets me going when I see people dying because of religion crap! Blaugh! sorry

Okay, I don't hate the movie! That's the best news. I prefer the audiobook though and I tried really hard to keep my vision of the characters and settings in the book. So here's what I thought:

Bella and Edward....: Bwahahahaha! Edward glittering was the lamest thing I've ever seen. lololol. I'll just leave it at that... lol. There were way too many close ups on bella and edward, they were trying to make it intense, but it just made you want to like count their pores or something. Plus whenever Edward put on his "self sacrificing, trying not to eat you, i'm so hardcore" face all I could think of was his constipation face, since that's why they called it on my podcast I listen to. Bella wasn't that bad. She really captured the pathetic-ness.

Bellas friends: perfect. just really great. I love how she saw them when they were driving out of Forks, that was a clever contrast.

Charlie: Okay, I expected a bit more like emotion in the bella leaving scene. he was just like "did he hurt you... bleh" The scene was sad, but I think it could have been better.

Screw the cullens, best part: Evil vampirezzz!: Laurent wins biggest eyes award. Victoria wins biggest feet award. And James wins everything else :-o. Lol I am such a James fangirl. Sadistic vampires for the win.

The action scene was so much more violent than I thought it would be. Alice ripped off James head! But i'm okay with that because part of what makes james cool is that he got ripped to pieces and burned. Then he bit bella, which was creepy. And broke her leg. And threw her into a pillar. In case you haven't noticed I don't really like Bella so he just gets extra points. When Edward was supposed to suck out the venom and couldn't stop that was so CREEPY, his eyes were like O_O. Ickers.

There were two too many "monkey" references in the movie:
"Hold on spider monkey" -rob to bella when they're running.
And the worst-line-of-the-movie award goes to.... "That's my monkey man." -Rosalie describing Emmet playing baseball.

So yeah overall I will enjoy the movie when I can actually laugh as much as I want to (when they were laying in the meadow with that horrible piano music I felt like i'd burst!) It was amazing that they used 15 Step by Radiohead during the credits <3 and the scenery was fantastic.

Okay...

I am falling back in love with November, one more week till thanksgiving break, which will be AWESOME, the play is over and I'm not as sad as I thought i'd be and we didn't fall flat on our faces during performances. Life is better. Five more days! This weekend went so fast >.< but I got soo much sleep. I wasn't very exciting but I did catch up on my sleep. And I don't feel sick though some of my hearing out of my right ear is still gone. (I mean wth??? it's so random yet makes every day a little harder.)
